There are many different types of blogs. Blogs about a specifc topic, blogs for fun, blogs about animals, blogs about professions, businesses use blogs to promote their offer, authors use blogs, and list goes on and on.
If you always wanted to write a book but do not where to start, use a blog to put your thoughts somewhere where, people can see and comment. After doing it awhile you can put all your blogs on paper in a book and publish it. The feeling you get from feedbacks on your blog will let you know how people are responding to your thoughts.
