Amercian Blackout:Cyber Attack-Beware-Be Prepared
I remember the night of Hurricane Sandy when the winds were powerful, steady, and once in a while the gusts were down right scary. From previous storms we were somewhat more prepared for a power lost. We had fashlights, candles, and a battery operated lantern at the ready.
As the night went on and hearing reports of the damage and of power outages, I thought we would survive the night with losing power. I step outside to secure items blowing around my backyard and I hear and see transformers blowing up in the distance.
One and than another...it was quite a feeling seeing and hearing these transformers explode and watching as darkness expanded on the horizon until the lights flickered and then out. We were without power. It's one thing to be out at night with power on, another when there is no power.
